Privacy

geotool has no accounts, sets no cookies, and runs no third-party analytics. Running an audit stores the URL you submitted and the resulting report; your IP address is used for rate limiting and is not stored alongside it.

What is stored

The URL you auditStored with the report so the shareable link keeps working.
The reportFindings, score and the measured facts about the page. Stored indefinitely unless you ask for removal.
Your IP addressUsed only to enforce the hourly rate limit. Held in a counter keyed by address, not linked to your audits, and reset each hour.
Server logsStandard web-server request logs, retained short-term for operations and abuse handling.

Reports are public

Every report is served at a public URL that anyone holding the link can open, and the link is designed to be shared — including with an AI assistant. Do not audit URLs you would not want disclosed, such as staging hosts, preview links containing tokens, or pages behind an unlisted address. The audit only ever fetches what a public crawler could fetch, but the report records that the URL exists.

What is not collected

  • No accounts, sign-ups, email addresses or passwords.
  • No cookies. Your language and theme preferences are kept in your own browser's local storage and never sent to the server.
  • No third-party analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. The page loads nothing from any other domain.
  • No content of the pages you audit beyond what appears in the report itself.

Removal

Email [email protected] with the report link and it will be deleted. No account or proof of ownership is required, since reports contain only publicly fetchable information.
